With 25 years of experience in the food and beverage hospitality industry, Michael is a very seasoned professional in the field of Food & Beverage. Michael's innovative and passionate approach has been honed through prestigious roles at InterContinental, Marriott, Shangri-La, and Hyatt. Notably, he led successful operations during the pandemic at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong and contributed significantly to rebranding efforts at InterContinental Shanghai Harbour.
With exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, Michael has led multicultural teams, ensuring customer satisfaction through strategic planning and performance optimization. And will be essential in helping The Sukhothai Shanghai to position the restaurants and bars as market leaders and beyond.
Now gracing The Sukhothai Shanghai with his myriad of talents in the field of local and international dining scene, Michael oversees the management, financial and operation of the five lifestyle restaurants and bars, also the conference and banquet operations, strongly upholding the brand’s highest standards of service delivery, exemplifies his commitment to excellence.
Additionally, Michael loves wine, Italian food, and is a fan of jazz. He likes biking around the city and exploring the city’s delightful touch.
