Shanghai, China: The Honourable Pat Bell, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation for the Province of British Columbia was on hand today at a tourism industry reception to witness the signing of a marketing memorandum (MOU) between Tourism Vancouver and Tourism Shanghai.

The MOU marks the beginning of a new marketing relationship that enables both cities to improve their understanding of the market, develop insights through shared best practices, and expedite the flow of visitors between the two regions.

Tourism Vancouver also used the occasion to launch the Chinese version of the Vancouver Specialist Program – an online training program for the Chinese travel trade that represents the first of its kind in Canada.
