【迈点网】:凯悦、洲际、香格里拉、雅高等多个国际品牌都有您从业的经历,您分别对这4个品牌给予怎样的评价?各自的优势又在哪里?
How do you think about Hyatt,Intercontinental,Shangri-la,Accor,which four brands you had worked in hospitality? And what are the superiorities they are?
托马斯:每一个酒店管理集团都有自己的价值观,这是区别于不同品牌的。雅高集团一个关键因素就是注重人性化。
Each major management company has its own value and principles. It’s just that different brands have different principles. However, one main factor which is very prominent with Accor is that it is a very human oriented organization and it values its people.
【迈点网】:您之前的酒店从业都集中于东南亚国家,这次是什么吸引您来到重庆这座中国西部城市?又是什么吸引您来到重庆申基索菲特大酒店?
What attracted you to come to Chongqing, the inland city of China? What attracted you to come to Sofitel Forebase Chongqing?
托马斯:自从我来到这里,这个问题已经被问到很多次了。索菲特奢华酒店品牌邀请我再次加入,而重庆是三个供我选择的城市之一,经过对重庆的充分了解,选择重庆是显而易见的了。作为酒店的业主方申基集团有很好的声誉,所以我不用考虑太多。
This is a question that which has been asked many times and will be, for as long as I am here. I was asked to rejoin Sofitel Luxury hotels. There were three options and after going through sufficient research about Chongqing, it was an easy decision to make. Moreover, Forebase as an owning company has a very respectable reputation. So, I did not have to think too much.
【迈点网】:您的服务理念是什么?您来到重庆申基索菲特大酒店之后会带给客人什么具体的优质服务?
What"s your Service concept? What"s more quality service Customer can get after you come to Sofitel Forebase Chongqing?
托马斯:首先我一直关注的永远是顾客满意度。如果你的客人高兴了,那什么问题都迎刃而解。其次我会优先考虑我的团队,只有我的团队愉快的工作,才能使客人满意。
My focus has, and will always be CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. If you have a happy customer, most of you problems are solved. My second most important priority of my team. To make a customer happy, I have to make my team happy!
【迈点网】:索菲特这一雅高旗下的高端品牌,给人带来的是一种法式的精致,重庆申基索菲特大酒店是怎样来传承这一雅高品质的?
Sofitel is the luxury brand of Accor, how will Sofitel Forebase Chongqing continue?
托马斯:作为索菲特奢华酒店的重庆申基索菲特大酒店是无可取代的。不谦虚的说,作为酒店总经理,我是非常资深且有丰富管理经验的,公司对于我的指派,就是希望可以确保酒店的持续发展和成功。
Sofitel Forebase Chongqing is an important hotel for Sofitel luxury hotels. I am a very senior and highly experienced General Manager. The fact that the company brought me here was to ensure the longevity and the continued success of the hotel.
【迈点网】:餐饮部门是您最初进入酒店的一个部门,并且也曾在这一岗位上担任要职,这次来到重庆申基索菲特大酒店会对餐厅及餐饮做怎样的改革?
Your career in hospitality began and held senior positions in Food Beverage, will you take new measures to the restaurant?
托马斯:毋庸置疑,我们在提高餐饮质量方面已经行动起来,并将继续努力。很快我们的餐饮层出不穷的创意会给您带来不一样的惊喜。
Absolutely and no doubt about that. We have already taken certain basic decisions to improve the quality of Food and Beverage and will continue to do that. I am sure that the hotel is going to see some very interesting ideas and activities in terms of Food and Beverage.
【迈点网】:1992年进入酒店行业以来,至今已经有整整20年,能跟大家分享一下这20年来您的从业心得吗?
You have got 20 years experience in hospitality from 1992,can you share some of your experience in hospitality?
托马斯:在酒店业工作了这么久,也取得了一定成绩。我真诚地愿意与同事们分享我的一切,我所有的工作经验,以帮助他们自身事业的发展。
I have a long and solid track record in the hospitality business. My sincere responsibility and commitment is to share this wealth of experience with my peers and coworkers and to support their development.
【迈点网】:如何评价来到中国一个多月的工作和生活?
How do you think your work and your life during this more than one month in China?
托马斯:工作就是我生活的全部。我的事业成功了,我的人生也就完美了。
My life is my work. Simply put! If my work is successful, my life is successful.
