Wyndham Hotel Group Appoints Deb Peart GM

　　Wyndham Hotel Group have announced the appointment of Deb Peart as General Manager for its inaugural hotel in NewcastleGateshead - the Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead due to open in spring 2012.

　　Deb, a born and bred North Easterner and passionate supporter of Newcastle United has nearly 25 years’ experience in the catering and hospitality sector. After leaving university she took a temporary job at McDonald’s Restaurants, working her way up to General Manager at various locations throughout the North East.

　　After 17 years in her “temporary job” Deb was drawn to the hotel industry and in 2005, joined Premier Inn as the General Manager at Newcastle Airport. Deb enjoyed six years at Premier Inn before she was offered the chance to join Wyndham Hotel Group as General Manager of the Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead.

　　Deb commented: “I am very excited about this wonderful new opportunity working for Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company. On a local level, the hotel will play a key part in the master plan to regenerate the Gateshead Quays area. Our proximity to the Baltic Business Park as well as the iconic Sage and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art means that we will be well placed to serve the area’s growing business, leisure and tourism industries.”

　　Facilities at the 200-room Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead will include a gym, meeting space, Wi-Fi internet access throughout the property, and the brand’s signature concept, The Hub, which incorporates a restaurant, lounge area and bar.
