  The brand, called Ahn Luh, has been developed in collaboration with an unnamed Chinese tourism group and real estate developer. The first two properties under Ahn Luh will open in two to three years, the company said.

  GHM unveiled the new brand as it revealed plans to double the size of its portfolio over the next four years.

  GHM currently has approximately 10 properties operational including The Legian Bali; The Nam Hai Hoi An, Vietnam; The Strand Yangon, Myanmar The Ananti Kumgang Mountains, North Korea ; The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia; and The Chedi Chiang Mai, Thailand. It has an additional seven properties under development including two hotels in China to be located in Suzhou and Taiping, plus a Chedi Club & Residences in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

  “In our first 20 years, we pioneered resorts in some of the world’s most up-and-coming destinations, from Ubud on Bali to Quang Nam in Vietnam, establishing an ambitious presence with hotels that melded lofty, contemporary design with exquisite, local architectural elements. In this, the first year of our third decade, we’re engineering the moves on a five-year plan of growth the likes of which we’ve never seen,” said Hans Jenni, co-founder of GHM.
