Young Hoteliers Summit (YHS)

　　Held at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), the Young Hoteliers Summit is the first hospitality summit bringing together students and industry leaders from around the world. Initiated by the Career Club, a student-run committee at EHL, the Young Hoteliers Summit provides an opportunity for all participants to exchange knowledge and ideas, foster creativity, profile competence and expand their professional networks.

　　The event features a unique challenge involving teams which are composed of a mix of members from the participating schools (vs. the more traditional “school team”), competing to solve a real-life creativity challenge proposed by a hospitality company. Various presentations, panels and workshops hosted by industry leaders will be organized around the topic raised in the creativity challenge.

　　Not only does the YHS benefit students with a rich learning experience outside of the classroom, it also gives more senior industry participants the chance to interact and exchange views with future talents of the hospitality industry.

　　The first Young Hoteliers Summit was a tremendous success, a true novelty in the hospitality industry, initiated by students for the greater benefit of the industry as a whole. The value of the Young Hoteliers Summit is that it is a platform of communication between the industry leaders of today and those of tomorrow. It breeds innovation in the hospitality industry by solving real life challenges put forth by companies, and it anticipates tomorrow"s challenges. Hence, our aim is to make the Young Hoteliers Summit into an established and recurring event that is recognised by the hospitality industry globally.

　　We are proud to host the Young Hoteliers Summit 2011, the second edition of this event which marks the start of a new form of interaction and communication between students and industry leaders.
